Date: 2020-10-16

The Bali Tourism Bureau has prepared 20 billion rupiah (about 1.35 million US dollars) for this project.

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism will provide 4,400 tourists with free travel packages in Bali from October 7th, tentatively restarting the tourism industry in Bali under the strict implementation of relevant epidemic restrictions.

I Putu Astawa, director of the Bali Tourism Bureau, said that Indonesian social media users aged between 18 and 50 can participate in this project. The applicant’s industry is not limited, but The greater the number of fans, the greater the chance of being selected by the Bali Tourism Board.

Astava said that selected tourists can get free travel packages for 3 days and 2 nights in major tourist attractions in Bali. This plan will continue until November 27, and the Bali Tourism Bureau has prepared 20 billion rupiah (about 1.35 million US dollars) for this project.

According to Astava, this plan is part of a series of efforts by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism to restart the tourism industry. By providing tourists with free travel packages, on the one hand, Bali can be promoted to the world through social media, and on the other hand, the shortcomings of the current epidemic restrictions in Bali scenic spots can be discovered, and the tourism industry in Bali can be restarted.

Bali is a world-renowned tourist destination. In 2019, Indonesia attracted 16.1 million international tourists and 6.3 million international tourists visited Bali. The tourism industry in Bali was affected by the epidemic and was completely closed in April this year.
